BdB

Federal Association of Professional Guardians

The Federal Association of Professional Guardians (BdB) is the largest advocacy organization for guardians in Germany, with 7,900 members. The association was founded in 1994.

The BdB is committed to ensuring that its members can provide people in need of care and support with appropriate assistance, giving them the opportunity to live as self-determined a life as possible. It represents these interests to policymakers with both professional expertise and strong commitment. The association’s work is guided in particular by the UN Human Rights Convention of 1948 and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities of 2006.

To strengthen its internal organization, the BdB has been using tixxt since 2019.

Federal Association of Professional Guardians

I believe that from the members’ perspective, the most important thing is to be able to network, exchange experiences with one another, and above all to quickly and easily access up-to-date information provided by the association – anytime and anywhere.
