BME

Founded in 1954, the German Association Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BME) is the leading professional association for procurement, supply chain, and logistics. The BME has around 9,750 members across Germany, ranging from SMEs to large corporations from all industries and sectors. The annual volume of goods and services procured by its members amounts to approximately €1.25 trillion – about one-third of Germany’s total GDP.

In addition to its traditional role of representing the industry’s interests in politics, the BME is particularly committed to knowledge transfer through the exchange of experience. The training and further education of qualified executives and the promotion of new insights, especially regarding methods and technologies, are also key objectives of the association.
