dbl
German Federal Association for Speech and Language Therapy
With around 9,000 members, the German Association for Speech and Language Therapy (dbl), founded in 1964, has been the largest professional association for speech therapists and other speech therapy professions in Germany for more than 50 years.
The dbl represents the professional, economic, and social interests of its members not only to policymakers and public authorities but also to health insurers, and it cooperates with all stakeholders in the healthcare sector.
The association’s activities focus on promoting academic training for speech therapists based on a uniform professional law, ensuring high-quality speech therapy care for all patients, and spreading knowledge about speech therapy throughout society.
To improve its internal organization, the dbl has been using tixxt since 2017.
