DSGV

The “Deutscher Sparkassen- und Giroverband” (DSGV) is the umbrella organization of the “Sparkassen Finance Group”. It brings together 351 banks, the Landesbank groups, DekaBank, eight regional building societies, nine primary insurance groups of the banks, and numerous other financial service providers.

The DSGV’s key objectives are not only to represent the interests of the banks and regional associations but also to organize decision-making within the Sparkassen Finance Group, define its market and business strategies, and manage sub-funds of the Landesbanken and regional building societies. In addition, DSGV fulfills an educational mission as the sole shareholder of the central education institution of the Sparkassen Finance Group, a state-recognized university for finance and management in Bonn.
