DStGB
German Association of Towns and Municipalities
The German Association of Towns and Municipalities (DStGB) represents the interests of German cities and municipalities, giving them a strong voice at the state, federal, and EU levels. It addresses the issues that matter most to citizens at the local level.
Through 17 member associations, 11,000 large, medium, and small municipalities are organized and connected within the DStGB. The association operates independently of political parties and without government subsidies. The composition of its governing bodies reflects the results of municipal elections.
Since 2016, DStGB members have been using tixxt in their daily work.
The Network at a Glance

Experts who previously communicated only rarely are now exchanging ideas regularly through the network. As a result, the level of connectivity within the DStGB has increased. More experts are involved in statements and decision-making processes through the platform than ever before. Recurrent questions have decreased thanks to the storage of knowledge within the groups.
