The Professional Association for Documentation and Information Management in Medicine (DVMD) represents the interests of all professional groups involved in medical documentation and information management.

As medical information management is still a relatively young discipline, the association’s work aims to raise awareness of this profession and increase its attractiveness. Key areas covered include epidemiology, tumor documentation, clinical research, and clinical documentation in hospitals.

Since 2023, the DVMD has been using tixxt to support the daily networking of its members.
