The Federal Association for Horticulture, Landscaping, and Sports Facility Construction (BGL) is a business and employers’ association supported by 12 regional associations. It represents the interests of Germany’s horticulture, landscaping, and sports facility construction sector at the regional, national, and European levels.
The field of horticulture and landscaping encompasses a wide variety of activities. “GaLaBau” (horticulture and landscaping sector) companies design and maintain private gardens, and they are key players in creating and caring for urban green spaces, open landscapes, and commercial green areas. Landscape gardeners also build and maintain sports facilities and playgrounds.
Through this work, the “GaLaBau” sector contributes to the preservation of biodiversity and plays a crucial role in helping society adapt to climate change.
