IBMA
International Biocontrol Manufacturers Association
The International Biocontrol Manufacturers’ Association (IBMA), founded in 1995 and based in Brussels, is the world’s leading association for biological plant protection solutions. It represents more than 220 member companies from over 30 countries, including around 160 in Europe. IBMA unites manufacturers, research institutions, and policymakers to promote the use of sustainable, nature-based plant protection technologies. As the central voice of the biocontrol sector, it strengthens regulatory frameworks, drives innovation, and supports the global shift toward environmentally friendly agriculture. Over 80% of its members are small and medium-sized enterprises, reflecting the diversity and dynamism of the industry. Through its work, IBMA builds trust, enhances visibility, and creates opportunities for companies that develop and market biological alternatives in crop protection.
Since 2025, IBMA has been using tixxt to connect around 2,500 members from industry, research, and policy. The platform fosters knowledge exchange, encourages collaboration, and supports joint efforts to develop solutions for sustainable agriculture.
