VKIG

The Association of Municipal Real Estate and Facility Management Companies (VKIG) has around 62 members and is the only specialized association representing the interests of municipal facility management organizations in Germany. Two-thirds of VKIG members are organized as public enterprises and are responsible for the construction, renovation, and maintenance of all municipal buildings and special properties, from schools to fire stations, from town halls to refugee accommodations, from daycare centers to sports halls.

VKIG’s goals are to strengthen collaboration among its members, provide advice on conceptual and technical issues, and ensure ongoing professional exchange at leadership levels. Toward politics and the public, its mission is to represent the interests of municipal facility management organizations collectively and with one voice.

Since 2017, VKIG has been using tixxt as an information portal where members can access key updates and exchange ideas in one central place.
